The wife of the President was in Enugu yesterday to kick start her project; Women Health Initiatives. The initiative according to Aisha was born out of her concern for women who are faced with health challenges and do not have financial support to undergo the needed treatment. Highlight of the event included free screening for cancer, breast cancer and other ailments. She urges women to take advantage of the initiative to know their health status and called on wives of state governors and others to collaborate in tackling major ailments that threatens women within their states. The wife of Enugu State governor, Mrs. Monica while commending the wife of the president on her laudable projects pledged to sustain the initiative. Most of the beneficiaries could not hide their joy as they showered praises on Mrs. Buhari. The project which was flagged off in Calabar and Yola has so far save about six thousand women.
Mrs. Aisha use the opportunity of being in the state to pay a visit to Rev. Fr. Mbaka who prayed for the success of the present administration.
