Lamar Odom may spent Chrismas with family

Lamar Odom may not be home for the holidays, but he'll be surrounded by family.
The former Lakers star, who is slowly recovering from the complications he suffered after an overdose in October that left him briefly in a coma, is hoping to be out of the hospital by Christmas, but it's not a done deal yet.

According to a source, "The family is continuing to be optimistic about having him into a rehab center before Christmas". "Either way his kids are flying out to be with him, whether it's at Cedars or the new center in Calabasas that he will be relocated to."

Khloe Kardashian and the rest of her family of course live in Calabasas, Calif., and Odom's wife has continued to visit him at the hospital throughout his recovery. Holiday preparations are underway for the whole family, particularly at matriarch Kris Jenner's abode where the entrance hall is professionally decked out as usual in true winter wonderland style.

Odom has been at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center since Oct. 19, when he was airlifted from Las Vegas a few days after awaking from a coma—a seeming miracle at the time.

A source disclosed this week that the 6-foot-10 athlete is visibly "struggling" with his rehabilitation and still is not walking entirely on his own, switching between a walker and a wheelchair.
Odom is dad to 13-year-old Lamar Jr. and 17-year-old Destiny with ex Liza Morales. They also flew to be by their dad's side when he was first hospitalized in Vegas.
