How sad! Village head raped and infects a 13 year old girl with HIV

The Village Head of Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State has been arrested by the Kano State Hisbah Board for allegedly raping and infecting a 13-year- old girl with HIV.
According to the Director General of the board, Dr. Abba Sufi, the suspect was arrested, on Monday, following a complaint from parents of the girl.
The incidence was discovered three days to the wedding ceremony of the teenage girl as she was tested and found to be HIV positive, a development which led to the exposure of the district head.
He said that the suspect had also been tested and found to be a carrier of the deadly virus.

 

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II, has ordered the immediate suspension of the village head while investigation is ongoing.
