2016 May/June WAEC Result Checker Portal is now open

The 2016 May/June results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) were released on Friday, August 5, 2016. The result summary was given by Head of Nigeria National Office, Nigeria, Mr Olu Adenipekun showed that out of 1,552,758 candidates that sat for the May/June examination, 137,295 candidates representing 8.89 per cent were withheld, one million three hundred and seventy thousand forty nine (1,370,049) candidates, representing 88.72% obtained credit and above in three (3) subjects, while one million four hundred and thirty eight thousand six hundred and seventy nine (1,438,679) candidates, representing 93.16% obtained credit and above in two (2) subjects.

The World Health Organisation has declared the Zika virus an international public health emergency, prompted by growing concern that it could cause birth defects. Kerosene Subsidy ends, product to sale at N83

The Federal Government, weekend, announce increase in the price of  Kerosene to N83 per litre from N50 per litre, thereby, officially ending subsidy on the product.
The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency, PPPRA , in its product pricing template released, weekend, however, stated that the N83 per litre price applies only to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), meaning that other petrol stations and dealers can sell higher than the stipulated amount.
The price increase of kerosene came at a time when the price of crude oil had dropped to record low, with the price of petroleum products, such as kerosene, fuel and diesel, among others, dropping significantly in a number of countries, like the United States.
