Obong Victor Attah quits Partisan Politics

Barely one month to Obong Victor Attah's 77th birthday, the former governor of Akwa Ibom State has announce his retirement from partisan politics. He said henceforth he will be contributing his quota as an elder stateman to serve in the development of the state and nation, stressing that he does not need to be a card carrying member to so.
According to him; “I have always insisted that I was in government position in politics and not a professional or career politician so I can boldly say that I have quit partisan politics to play the role of an elder stateman”
Speaking on the fracas with PDP, the former governor made it clear that his utterances did not amount to anti-party activity but was bore out of his concerns about the party’s activities.
