Teenager commits Suicide Over poor performance in 2018 UTME
A teenager identified as Loveth from Ekiugbo community in Ughelli North of Delta State, has
allegedly committed suicide after finding out she had low scores in the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).The deceased who scored 163 which is inadequate for her to study Medicine and Surgery in the university reportedly when into depression.
She is said to have drank three bottles of a dangerous insecticide known as Sniper and was found dead on 14th March 2018 morning at her home where she resides with her parents.
A relative of the deceased, who spoke under condition of anonymity to the Nation, said her parents, who believed their daughter could still be revived, made last minute efforts to save her life but was fruitless.

Government Area of Plateau State. The attack according to reports, took
place on March 14th. 23 other persons are reported to have been
killed during the attack.
Confirming the death of the soldiers, the Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Texas Chukwu, in a statement released last night, said seven suspects had been arrested, while a number of weapons were recovered from them.

Senate President, Saraki False Asset Declaration trial dismissed
The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has dismissed the charges of false
asset declaration against Senate President, Bukola Saraki. Chairman of
the tribunal, Danladi Umar, in his ruling this morning, said the
prosecution team had failed to provide substantial evidence to prove that
Saraki was indeed guilty of false asset declaration.
